Posted on 09/07/2016

All 6th grade students take an Introduction to Middle Schools (IMS) course. This course helps our sixth grade students make their transition into middle school and also equips them with tools and resources that will support their academic and social growth experiences. The course meets three times a week for five weeks. It is taught by Ms. Samantha Musher (school librarian/instructional technology specialist) or Ms. Shanika Boadu (guidance counselor). World language class replace IMS in October.

Below is a brief overview of the different topics covered in Intro to Middle School. If you have any questions or concerns or want to know more about the curriculum, please feel free to reach out to either Ms. Musher or Ms. Boadu

Unit 1 - Orientation and Welcome Week

Unit 2 - Study and Organizational Skills (2 lessons)
