Here is some key information to help you prepare for the first day:

  • When: The first day of school is on Tuesday, September 6

    • Doors open at 8:40AM

    • School starts at 8:55AM

      • Students should be IN advisory by 8:55AM so they are not marked tardy

  • What to bring (school supplies lists):

  • 6th grade

  • 7th grade

  • 8th grade

  • Please see next week’s newsletter for information about:

    • Where to go when arriving

Schedules
  • Returning RAUC students and families:

    • Schedules can now be viewed on Aspen

    • If you have forgotten your Aspen log-in information, please call the school (617.349.4060) or email Ms. Linette ( [email protected])

  • Families of 6th graders and students new to RAUC

    • You can view your student’s schedule, attendance, class information, and grades on a portal called Aspen.

    • Please check your emails TOMORROW 8/25 for information about how to log into your family Aspen account

      • Students have a separate student account. They will receive information about how to log in in the first few days of school.

    • NOTES:  we are still completing schedules for some of our new students.

      • Thank you for your patience if you see some blank spots in the schedule.

      • Don’t worry–everyone will have a complete schedule by the first day of school!

    • Questions? Please call the school at 617.349.4060

      • Please know schedules are set :

        • We take many factors into consideration when creating them.

        • Changes are complex and only happen in extreme circumstances, and only after all other efforts to face a challenging situation have not helped.

      • IF your student is placed in an incorrect specials class, do let us know.

      • IF your student sees their schedule and feels anxiety about who they are or are not with, thank you in advance for helping them face this anxiety:

        • Remind them that one of our core values is commUnity–teachers actively work to build relationships between students.

        • Friendships always ebb and flow.  There are many new students to RAUC so there are many opportunities to make new connections.

        • Lunch and recess is 40-45 minutes and a wonderful opportunity to connect with anyone in the school.
