8th graders advocate for change at State House
Our 8th graders did an incredible job presenting their Civics projects at the Massachusetts State House Civics Showcase on Friday. During their visit, students…

  • Toured the State House and saw where important decisions get made
  • Presented their Civic Action Projects to other students, educators and key leaders with “high civic capital”
  • Met with various leaders to ask questions and advocate for positive change in areas that they were passionate about.

Six groups were selected to move onto the next round at City Hall, where they will present to a group of community advisors that include the mayor, the city manager, the superintendent, and our former principal Julie Craven. Please join us in congratulating all our students for aiming high!
