This Thursday, 8th graders Bella Farina and Clare Lewis made powerful contributions to a panel on civics education at the MA State House.
- They addressed specific civics content and the importance of civic values - including reciprocity and civic self-care - in their comments.
- They were the youngest panelists, and their comments were clear and powerful!
- After the panel, they visited Representative Steve Owens, who spoke with them and gave them a special tour of the House Chambers.
- Thank you…
- Bella and Clare, for your advocacy
- Mr. Trainor, for your civics expertise and for helping Bella and Clare prepare for today's event
- And the district department of History & Social Studies for helping make this opportunity possible!
