MIT & Broad Institute scientists visit RAUC

We are very privileged to be so close to so many premier STEM organizations in Cambridge! Last week, several scientists from these organizations visited our students. 

Launch of 7th grade Zero-gravity Projects 
In 7th grade, graduate students from the MIT Astrophysics Department came to introduce the students’ next big project- designing experiments Zero-Gravity! Over the next few weeks, students will be working on their proposals for experiments. On April 29th, students with the top proposals will get to present their experiments to Astronaut Jeff Hoffman and other researchers from MIT. 8th graders learn about genetics from the Broad Institute 
Over the last few weeks, scientists from the Broad Institute have been teaching lessons on genetics to our 8th grade students. Check out some photos below:
