This year, the Cambridge Public LIbrary received nearly 800 entries for its Cambridge Public LIbrary Youth Poetry Contest. In this tough competition, two RAUC students were chosen for 2nd place - Minna Mirghani (6th grade) for her poem “Words are People” and Kallie Alexis (7th grade) for “The Butterfly Tunnel”! Congratulations to our young poets Kallie & Minna and all our poets who applied for the contest!
To celebrate the winning poems & winners, there will be an awards ceremony on June 1st at 6PM in the lecture hall at the Main Library. At the awards ceremony, students will receive their prizes and have an opportunity to either read or have their poem read out loud. Family, friends and teachers are welcome to attend!
