For this month’s parent/caregiver spotlight, we are featuring 7th grade parent
Tina Lieu. Tina is involved in many different ways in our district and school. In the district, she helps co-lead the
Cambridge Families of Asian Descent (CFAD) and
North Cambridge Courageous Conversations (NOCA CC). At RAUC, she volunteers with the Cambridge School Volunteers and also leads an afterschool club (Bridge club).
On her experience at RAUC, Tina says,
“One of the things I like best about RAUC is its great variety of clubs at lunch and afterschool. They are an amazing way for students to make new friends in other grades, too. This next semester, there are 21 lunch clubs and 14 afterschool clubs. Wow! I don’t think any other middle school in Cambridge offers this many. Lunch clubs are awesome because they are accessible to everyone. You don’t have to get into an after school program to hangout with peers.”
